PANORAMA MOUNTAIN RESORT JOINS THE MOUNTAIN COLLECTIVE
Significant tourism boost for the Columbia Valley
Panorama, BC. – March 10, 2020 – Today, Panorama Mountain Resort announced that it has joined the Mountain Collective, one of the world’s premier ski and snowboard pass programs.
Steve Paccagnan, President and Chief Executive Officer said that membership is a significant milestone in the history of the resort. “At Panorama we’re focused on sustainable growth, while not losing sight of our community or culture. At this mountain, skiers usually ski straight on to the lift and often ride trails with no one else in sight, this won’t change with our membership in the Mountain Collective. Our valley welcomes people from all around the world; and we’re more than happy to share the huge vertical, impeccable grooming and the powder of Taynton Bowl with more.”
Panorama has been considering joining an international pass program since 2016 but before moving forward decided to focus on improving the mountain experience. More than $25M has been invested in recent years, with snowmaking, grooming, alpine terrain expansion and village dining at the forefront. With the Monster X snowcat delivering skiers to new lines in Taynton Bowl and the completely new Alto Kitchen & Bar and Fireside Café open in the village, the resort is now ready to be presented alongside the best of the best.
Paccagnan said, “We travelled to the USA in January to meet with executives from all Mountain Collective resorts and were welcomed with open arms. We immediately felt this was the right group for us. Destinations in the collective are 100% focused on delivering unique experiences, they’re mountain people who have a real passion for skiing and snowboarding.”
The pass offers holders two days of skiing and riding at each of the 22 iconic resort destinations around the world but according to Marke Dickson, Director of Sales and Marketing, it’s not only Mountain Collective pass holders who win. “Local Panorama Season Pass holders receive 50% off lift tickets purchased at all resorts in the collective. That means half-price at nearby mountains like Banff Sunshine, Lake Louise and Revelstoke, not to mention iconic destinations across the USA, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and France.”
For a limited time, the Mountain Collective is available for purchase at the lowest rate of the season at $469 USD (approx $629 Canadian). The Pass also offers a 50 percent discount on all additional days with no blackout dates and a third bonus day offer. Pricing for kids aged 12 and under is $99 (approx $135 Canadian).
